In D.C., day 3
Today was a good, but long, day!We got to see the Air and Space Museum, again. We went last year, and there is a lot to see, so it was great to see all of it again! We also took in the planetarium show and an IMAX show. “Magnificent Desolation” was a great 3D show about the Apollo astronauts and the moon.Â
Rachel, if you are reading this… We really wanted to buy you a M&M collectors dispenser, but we wouldn’t have anywhere to put it on the plane going home! it had the M&M characters in an airplane.
After the A&S Museum, we decided to check out the American Indian Museum. This is a pretty impressive looking building that was only opened last year, so we were expecting it to be packed full of great tidbits of the history of America’s Indians. There were lots of exhibits to see, including a gift shop, of course! Maybe I am being just a bit stereotypical, but I was really hoping to buy some arrowheads. There were none to be found. There were many woven garmets and bags (manufactured in Guatemala, of course). eh… anyway…
